B230 front crank seal.

Does anyone out there know the size of the B230 front crankshaft oil seal.
It is written on the face of the seal in the format 45-30-8 or similar #`s
Also the depth of the tool to press it in using the pulley bolt. The O/D and I/D I can work out from the seal dimensions but need to know the depth so that I can turn one up in advance.
Many thanks for any help,
Colin.

Convention would have it that the seal sits in a 45mm bore, runs on a 30mm shaft, and is 8mm thick. Got to a bearing house and order a seal with these dimensions. Get a two lip rubber covered seal if available.

Thanks John,
Did I remember the size correctly or are you explaining the numbering convention?
I appreciate the way the system works, what I was asking was, what is the correct front seal size? the figures I gave were just a rough guess/estimate given as an example.
Yes, I do intend getting a double lip seal to replace the standard single one.
Colin.

Colin:
Order one from FCP Groton, it's cheap, measure it yourself.
Good luck,
