Wagon rear seat in a sedan??? 200

Afternoon all,

I've found a good deal on a nice set of seats in a 1992 wagon to replace the worn seats in my 244. My question is: is the rear seat from the wagon a direct bolt-in for the 244 or does it need to be modified to fit.

If modifications are needed, what needs to be done to make it work?

Thanks for the help!

TexBrick :)

The mounting locations on the floor are not the same. I think it would be more trouble than it's worth to make the wagon seat fit, plus it weighs a lot more than the sedan version.

Thanks for the info. :) 200

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the info. I'll keep looking for a nice rear seat from a sedan.

Hi TB,

The rear seats are not, alas, a straight swap. It might be possible to swap the mounting gear onto the new seats. However, it might be simpler and more durable to swap the covers from the new seats (and the foam if required) onto the old. Just a thought...

Regards,

Big Rich.
