Sunroof Problems.......Please Help

The car: 1985 244Ti

The Problem: Stubborn sunroof that is difficult to close the last 3" or so, and once closed, the rear portion of the sunroof doesn't sit flush w/the roofline (sits lower).

Any ideas what could be causing this, and how do I fix?

Thanks for your help.

All the best,

Sunroof Problems.......Please Help

I have no great sunroof expertise, but I would check two things first:

1. Make sure both sides are properly aligned in their tracks
2. I had trouble closing mine at one point, the handle needed to be reinserted in a specific position so it would once again properly align with the sunroof "gears". I was then able to close the roof.

When done, I'd advise applying white grease or similar to the tracks.

Good luck!
