I was inspecting and cleaning engine components the other day and I noticed that my Brick's throttle link rod is about to rust through. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement, other than Volvo dealer? I have looked at some online sources and they want me to buy the whole throttle cable set, $45. It is a rather simple component but if it breaks I'll be pushing my Brick. Thanks for any info.

I'd buy it from a dealer...$20 or so US. Three parts if you have to buy them separately.

Reason is more for the end clips...there are sockets to the balls on the linkage, but they also have clips on the ends. The plastic goes TangoUniform after 10 years or so and it seems lots of people either pop the ends off without popping the endclips or the endclips fall off after opening a few dozen times.
