Rear shocks for '89 240 wagon-help! 200 1989

Ok-I have an '89, 240 wagon, non-turbo--with IPD overload springs, and IPD anti-sway bars-looking for rear shocks-about $50-$60 each price range-need opinons -suggestions. So far, have considered KYB-KG shocks-, or BOGE Turbo gas---stiffer than standard --don't want a soft mushy ride-any opnions-suggestions? The shocks on it now are standard Volvo-(BOGE I think)-but need better. IPD suggests the BOGE Turbo gas--others say KYB-KG---trying to keep that $50-$60 each price range. Thanks.

Hey !
I got the same Car as you.
I got Overload springs, Turbo Sway Bars (thickies) and Boge Turbo Gas Shocks.
My car rides great.
When I did my shocks and springs I put on a flow through exhaust, and A K and N Air filter.

I say I made a good choice . It was worth it....

Here's my post from a few days ago.
I just installed F/R Sachs Advantage on my 1985,245:GLTi..I have new:ball joints, tierod ends, bushings(well one year)Stock Turbo sway bar w/poly..New Yokahama AVS dB 205/60/15 this week..I have only driven 7 miles..They do seem responsive & comfortable.. On this car I have only used..(F) Original, Boge automatics ,,(R) original, KYB gas..More later,,

This is the second post.
I like these shocks much more than the KYB's that I had on the rear..The front is much better too. The car is , reponsive, excellent on the highway, brakes good, and overall..I like these Sachs advantage..more later

I've got the same set-up with boge pro gas. Like them fine. Shox.com usually has competive prices.

If you go with boge, try Sachs instead. Pretty much same shock, but made in Germany. My boge's came from two different parts of the world and cosmetically look different.

I think KYBs might be made here in Kentucky... If they are, they are probably full of Jim Beam. so watch out
