How can I tell if my wiring harness is bad? 700

My car is an 1987 740 turbo with 180K. It is starting to run pretty crappy. What are the symptoms of a bad wiring harness and are there any tests I can run to see if mine is OK.

If you still have the original harness..it's bad..

what do you mean by crappy exactly? poor idle? poor acceleration? hesitation? stalling? can't start? need more info. :)
