1990 740 Brake Problem

When you apply brakes there is a slight pulling to the left. The pedal also feels a little spongy. Please advise before I take to shop and spend big $.
Also thanks for previous responses to electrical problems.

1990 740 Brake Problem

Spongy pedal could mean air in brake lines or bad master cylinder.
Pulling one way or another could mean binding brake caliper or stuck guide pin (very common problem on these cars). Pulling could also indicate suspension bushing problems.

Easy test: jack up the front wheels one at a time and spin them. They should rotate freely. With a hard spin by hand the wheel should rotate several times before coming to a stop. If they don't you are having caliper problems.
