Rt.side tail & headlights inop. 200 1983

I have the Volvo Service Manual Wiring Diagrams for the 1984 240. The headlights appear to run with no fuse in the circuit. The parking, tail and license lights are fused. Fuse #15 handles the tail and license lights, #16 handles the front parking lights, plue the instrument and control panel illuminating lights.

Given all that, can you provide more details? Which fuse is it that blows?
Are the headlights AND park/tail lights non-op on the RH side? How about the license lights? Any difference if headlights are on high beam or low? Only low beams run through the BFWS. Front parking lights do not go through BFWS. Any difference if key is in or out, or in position I, or II ?

One-sidedness usually points to the bulb failure warning system (aka BFWS). But, a blowing fuse sounds like a dead short somewhere. Also, is it a 245 or sedan? License light wires run through the cargo door hinges, and may have lost insulation and contacted a ground.

Good Luck,

Bob
