Enigmatic sticker 200

Hello,
I bought an '89 245 without any service records. When I bought it, it had 235K miles on it, but it was in remarkable shape. I recently went over 300K miles.
So far things are working out just fine. I do have one simple question:

There is a sticker on the engine block that says "Volvo Exchange", "Byte" then a couple of German words. This sticker also has the date "03/05/1995" and "154,905 miles" written in ink. This sticker also has a little diagram of belts and pulleys on it.

Does this mean that the engine was replaced in 1995? If so, was the whole engine replaced?

What can be deduced from the presence of this enigmatic sticker? I welcome any possible scenarios/theories...

Thanks
Mike

If I were you I would change that timing belt. It has been a long time since it has been replaced.

That's the sticker that comes with the timing belt that you buy at a dealer.
