blinker 200 1977

Greetings all-

I have noticed that the blinker on my brick seems to be getting slower blinking, or sometimes just stays on when it should be blinking. Can I just get the flasher component that plugs into the wiring assembly for a replacement?

Thanks-

Joe HC

I had the same symptoms on my '79 242 a few years ago. I ended up buying Wagner flasher kit #591 which used an adapter plug and an old style domestic car flasher of the 99 cent variety. It worked just fine.
I just called an O'Reilly store and they still list it. Their price is $3.69. The Volvo OEM unit is a lot more expensive.
If your car's original unit has three prongs this kit will probably work.

Just go to your local auto parts store and get the replacement flasher. I have a TRIDON unit with a "highly audible click" and they aren't kidding.
