I recently (two weeks) had the timing belt changed on my 740 GLE and now the rpm gauge wavers between 700 and 1500 rpms while the car is totally stopped idling at a stop sign or a stop light or whatver.
It never did this before the belt was changed, is this a problem?
Will this be a future problem? Has anyone had a problem like this?

    Is the engine actually "hunting" for revvs while the tach is jumping or is the tach all on it's own jumping around while the engine rpm (feel) is the same?

      The Tach seems to be jumping around all on its own. The engine doesn't seem to be hunting for revs, there isn't any noticable difference in idle sound or volume. There also isn't any lurching or reving or anything.
