I replaced my recirc vacuum motor. It fixed the problem. You can see what you need to do, but getting to it is more difficult than it looks. It took me about 3 hours total. I'm no professional. If you have a bad back, it would be worth paying for someone else to do it.
Take off the knee bolster (no need to remove glove compartment)
Remove cover from recirc vent and remove the oval shaped piece of ductwork that it mounts to.
Prop the recirc door open.
You can now easily see the motor. It is secured by 2 10mm nuts.
Disconnect the motor from the door and remove the nuts.
The difficulty comes in getting the motor out.
I had to bend the metal piece on the end of it to clear the firewall.
To get the new motor in, I trimmed the mounting posts for the nuts (plastic). These break easily and are difficult to thread the nuts onto. You might wanto to file down the end to make it easier to thread the nuts on. You will see what I mean when you look at a new one. I also needed to bend the end of the new motor to get it in place. When you order the new motor, you might want to get a new metal clip for the recirc door mount (mine broke).
Good luck,
Steve
