Lh 2.2 verses lh 2.4 700

Which is a better system to have..the older lh 2.2 which has the setscrew on the air mass meter or the newer lh 2.4 which uses more signals sensors to run the engine...thanks...Leo

LH 2.2 versus LH 2.4 700

The setscrew on the AMM is nothing more than an idle trim adjustment. It allows intake air to bypass the hotwire and lean the idle mixture for proper idle CO. BTW - many LH 2.2 AMMs do not have adjuster.

Lh 2.2 verses lh 2.4 700

2.4 is a later generation of 2.2 , and I think 2.4 is better. BUT : If you already have 2.2 , don't change to 2.4 . You have to replace nearly everything:
sensors, computers, ignitionsystem,cableharnesses and so on, and 2.4 is not THAT much better. If you absolutely want a 2.4 system, look for another car.
