A/C PC board solder job this W/E Any PIX out there?? 700 1991

Removing the PC board to solder any cracks I can find. Got the procedure visualized from the archives and FAQ. Now I need pictures and a lot of luck. Dash is pulled apart. Have the radio in the back seat. Everything else in the front passenger floorboard except the screws which are duck taped to the center console. Jumping the low pressure switch no longer engages the compressor clutch. Have not been running the A/C this way, just wanted to get into a wait and see mode before I fixed a symptom of intermittent A/C vs. the root cause.

If I fry the board, oh well!! The job needs to get done as no A/C in this heatwave is causing my dry cleaning bills to eat into my IPD sway bar allowance!!

No computer shop here will touch it. I found a replacement vendor named Southwest Auto that has rebuilts for $175 plus my core. Beats the dealer by a country mile!!

    had the same problem in my '92 745 last year. I resoldered the brown spots area and areas that appeared to have fine cracks. You'll need a magnifying lense for this.
    Any how, my resolder job lasted for about 2 days, before it gave out again.
    I bought a used unit since I needed the A/C working in this Florida heat.
    I know when I resoldered my old unit that I was closed to the problem, since I made it work for two days.
    I still have the old unit, and one of these days I'll tackle the resoldering again.
    Many bricksters on this board have had success with this procedure, be patient, have good lighting and a good magnifying glass.
