Are all trans coolers the same, I mean what size should I get to replace mine.....I'm getting a new metal radiator, should i get a different trans cooler, or is the one inside ok.....I was scared about how on the plastic ones, part can break mixing antifreeze with ATF. If i go with an aftermarket unit, how many BTU's does it need to dissipate to be better than the factory one.

    I'm never going to tow anything. I'm just about to replace my plastic radiator with a 3 row one and am debating doing a trans cooler at the same time

      What model? If it's a 940, don't worry about it. If you're not going to tow anything you don't need the extra cooling capacity and the fluid mixing is only an issue on the OEM plastic radiators.

    My mechanic says if ur not towing anything , the factory trans cooler is ok. Just change it to synthetic oil. cheaper if u buy the box with 6 inside. Depending on how much ur towing the size does matter. Hayden trans cooler are ok. Available at Pep boys.
