Output shaft bushing 700

Just replaced output shaft on my 740T with 220K. What is the proper orientation of the bushing oil hole ? The bushing I removed had the hole in the 3:00 o'clock position (looking at output shaft toward front of car) which aligned with what appeared to be an oil gallery in housing, made sense. I put the new one in the same way but I've seen conflicting responses on brickboard.

BTW, I used the bushing removal tool from IPD and the job went very smoothly and took approximately 1:45 minutes including clean up time.

I took the output unit out and took it to a trany shop. The old bushing was lined up without the hole lining up with the oil grooves (replaced about 50K miles ago). The trany shop installed the new one with the hole lining up with the oil grooves or galley.

I've always heard to position the hole exactly as it was before, so I think you're OK. Particularly if the car went 220K with it that way before.

    Glad the job went smoothly.
