Car bogs out and won't run 75 700 1986

I have a 1986 740 GLE. The problem with my car is that it will not run over 75. Sometimes it will not even run over 20. I have changed out the air mass meter. Someone told me that was what the problem was. But my car still does it. It acts like it is getting to much gas. I can't figure out what the problem is. If anyone knows please let me know.

    You may want to check your air induction hose. This is the big pipe running from the airbox to the throttle body. They degrade with age and oil blow-by and under high vacuum (i.e. acceleration) can collapse and choke off the engine's air supply.

    Have you checked the cat? Sometimes the ceramic parts break up and move around causing a loss of power(Due to exhaust restriction.)
