speedometer cable 140-160

'Son's '71 142 needs a speedometer cable. A donor ('64, I think) 122 currently living at our place has a good speedometer cable. The 122 has a manual tranny and the 142 has an automatic. Can the cable from the 122 be used in the 142?

    There have been some on Ebay for not much money. You might want to check.

    I don't think it is long enough, even if the ends are the same.
    I used a standard 140 cable in my 122 with OD and it wore out quickly
    because the bends were too tight. It just barely reached.
    I replaced it with a 140 OD cable and it is fine after quite a few years.
