Aftermarket Suspension Bushings and Polyurethane Performance 900

I replaced my sway bar links and control arm bushings, along with shocks, strut mounts and strut mount bearings. I used all aftermarket parts. There was an immediate improvement in the road feel of the car and some minor brake pulsations dissappeared. The brake pulsation has come back and the front end feels like it could be a little firmer. I wonder if anyone has any experience with the aftermarket control bushings (these were stamped made in Germany) and the link bushings which did not have any identifying markings. Is there a difference, in your experience, with the OEM parts? How about polyurethane? Does the ride quality deteriorate with polyurethane

I put as much poly as available in my 744 this past weekend while changing the strut inserts. Had to remove the sway bar to get it back on to the links (aluminum). Poly has zero point zero forgiveness to movement once in place. In that I went from shot OEM shocks to Sachs Advantage, I do not know if the poly contributed to the stiffer ride or not. I have heard the longevity of poly is astronomical. I should not have to mess with them for 100k or more miles.

Wish they made poly engine and tranny mounts.

Aluminum? Are you talking about the 2 torque rods that attach the rear axle to the sub-frame?

No, the aluminum control arms are in front.

Some years they were iron, and later years aluminum. The sway bar links are completely different. The sway bar links for the aluminum style are symmetrical and threaded on both ends. The iron version is threaded on one end and a pressed in bushing on the other.

See my post earlier this week

The ride quality is not silky smooth but then I did a lot more than just bushings with a focus on improved cornering & road handling which will stiffen up the ride considerably. See the post for my and others' takes on poly end-link bushings. I suspect just going poly on the end-links will not negatively affect the ride very much if at all, probably just tighten things up nicely so you don't wallow about.
