Which manual is the best for the 1993 900

Which manual is the best for the 1993 940 Turbo?

I use a mix. I have a Bentley from my 240 days, a Haynes for the easier things, and then I buy "green" when I really need to. Between the three plus the board, I can usually figure it all out.

Just curious... what's "green"?

I read a few excerpts from the 'Gothenburg Bible'... but it seemed almost like more philosophy than just plain information.

Green for the Volvo Service manuals. Expensive but worth it.

I agree with Dick on the Volvo manuals. I have the Haynes from UK on the 940 and while it is good it doesn't go into the depth I like. If you do your own work than spend the money and get the Volvo manuals you need. So far I have spent about $160 for manuals. Now just how much of a problem can you get a shop or dealer to fix for that money? Enough said.

Haynes has served me well, esp. with their bolt torque specs at the beginning of each chapter.

IMHO, nothing beats the Volvo green. The FAQ also has a couple of other suggestions.

Avoid Chilton's 900

Very little useful info. They try to cover all Volvo models from '90-98 in ONE book. 200s, 700s, 800s, 900s, S, & V. IMHO, totally useless.
