Just wondering if Volvo ever offered a keyless entry system for the 940. I know others are available but would prefer the factory setup if they had one. Thanks!

volvoworld.com sells a whole bunch of original Volvo OEM kits - depending on the year of your car, you can either just install it or you may have to purchase the install kit in addition to the main system.

got my 940 with a pyranah combined centrall locking/alarm unit fitted..no fobs though! Found an alarm guy locally who manufactured me a fob (cost£70) who told me to replace alarm with similar quality unit I would be looking at £500-£700 fitted...

As Bram says, yes they were available, but try to find one. I have made my own on 200, 700 and 900 series. Dealer parts for this item I have found to be unavailable, so good luck hunting.

Yes. It was offered as an option in all markets (often combined with alarm), and may have been standard in some markets, some years, some models.
