Turbo has no boost 200 1985

Took the car out today on the highway and boost would only go up to the end of the black and not into yellow on the boost gauge. Looked for bad hoses,conections and couldn't find any.Anybody have any idea's? Thanks in advance for any help,Charlie 85 240 Turbo

Thanks for the help guys,it was the waestgate frozen.Worked on it with WD40,seems fine now. Thanks again, Charlie

When the turbo cools off reach down under it, grab the wastegate and see if it is loose as a goose. Real common to lose one of the bracket bolts and the gate sits loose and opens way too early.
Or the cat is plugged or there is an exhaust manifold leak. I bet it is the wastegate.

I had that happen to me after I had my car serviced once. Turned out that they didn't set the timing right. Probably different than your problem, but might be worth checking.
