As Do says, get a Bentley and a Haynes. They speak differently, I use both. Then go to www.volvocars.com/lit/ and look for the Volvo service manuals for your year and model. The Wiring Diagrams book is a MUST. The other - get what you can afford. Those 3, B and H and VWDM will run you a tad under $80 or so.

Good Luck,

The Volvo manual set is top rate, but also top expen$$$e.

Bentley manuals are excellent and more reasonably priced. No need to mortgage your house.

Haynes manuals are acceptable once you learn how to interpret some of the things they say.

Chiltons manuals make excellent bathroom stock. Read a page, tear it out for other uses. The pages are soft and absorbant.

I agree completely on the chiltons manual. I've only used it to clean up gear oil and to wipe my hands with when i'm done changing the oil. The pages are super absorbet.
