    See 700/900 FAQ under Electrical- Engine Sensors then go to O2 sensor diagnosis. This has some good info.
    Basically, failed O2 sensor will cause bad emissions and often causes rich condition, running rich continuosly can cause several problems.

    My car computer codes told me the coolant T sensor was was bad and also the injectors were over compensating. The plugs eventually fouled up (bad milage as well). O2 sensor was the cause (dealer had to troubleshoot). If you have 100K miles, I'd just replace the sensor as that's when it goes anyway.

    If its an older single wire, i.e. non heated, type, the response gets more sluggish as it ages. If you have 50 Kmiles on one like this and are having trouble with emissions, the O2 sensor might be the problem.
