floor mats 200

i need some new quality floor mats for my daughters 92 244 without having to sell a couple shares of berkshire hathaway class "A"s. anyone have a good source and/or good luck with a supplier? volvo logo'd would be preferred but not essential. i'd like something thick, plush and heavy to stay in place without having to rig something up. thanks in advance for your comments. my budget for this item is $75-100.

I AGREE---GO WITH THE MOLDED MATS (HAD SET FROM ORIGINAL '87 245 WAGON----CAR WAS TOTALED AFTER 235,000------BUT I SALVAGED THE MATS TO PUT INTO "NEW REPLACEMENT" '89 245 WAGON WITH 93,000------AND THE MATS WILL OUTLIVE THIS BRICK. IF YOU CAN'T FIND ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT----AFERMARKET FROM ADS IN AUTO MAGAZINES WILL SUIT YOU FINE. BOB

The very best mats available are the original, molded "cafeteria tray" mats that were available from Volvo. I have two sets--one tan, the other black--which I have been using in my successive cars, since I bought them in the early 80's. I might sell a car, but I surely would not sell my mats! I have seen these at salvage yards reasonably priced. Obviously, they last forever. I have the IPD molded variety in my 745. They are fine, but certainly not of the quality of the original Volvo mats.

I have the molded rubber "Volvo logo" floor mats on my 240 that Chris mentioned--they are great--. Really helps protect against stain with spills of liquids.

IPD has some nice molded floor trays that would fit the bill for less than that. And I think they have carpeted mats as well.
