Early blower motor 200

I understand that I have to convert my 78 blower motor to a newer style one.
Is there anywhere that I can find directions on what modifications I have to do to make it work? Are the mods extensive?
Thanks, Brian

No, you just have to cut off three plastic nubs in the blower housing. You should see the difference immediately when you're looking at the parts. You may need 3 different screws to mount the new motor in the air box- I can't remember honestly if the original ones work when doing the update.
Keep in mind that you CAN do this job without ripping outthe whole dash- just loosen the metal frame of the center console and lay it all back, wiring and all. that gives you enough access to work on the two side covers. It's not fun getting all the clips off but it can be done.

Second on not going the "by the book" route on changing the motor. You can do the job by pulling the side covers. Have some gloves available for dealing with the clips. Also be careful not to damage the capillary tube for the a/c thermostat.
