accessing 240 antenna 200 1992

our 240 wagon's electric antenna is broken off - how do I get access to it for replacing? It's mounted on the left front mudguard about 300mm in front of the windscreen

The description of the location of the antenna - 300mm in front of the windscreen on the left front mudguard, seems to me to place the antenna just back of the left headlight. Is this correct?

If the power antenna on your car is like the types mounted on the rear fender, I can't imagine how the thing would fit.

A power antenna requires a 2-wire harness connection, a ground wire, and the fat black RF cable from the radio. Can you trace the RF cable to the antenna?

Good Luck,

Bob

The antenna is 300mm (approx 1 foot) forward of the windscreen and just rearward of the wheel arch - so what I'm wondering from which direction to approach it: from inside the car or from up under the wheel arch which seems to be closed in by a plastic panel.
