Drivability problems 200 1991

My car is acting like the battery is weak. I can start it easily, but as soon as I put it in Drive it suddenly shuts down. I can restart it but have to get it going really fast in order for it to get going. The battery is relatively new and fully charged. Might this be the idle control valve or throttle plate? A $400 major service including a tune up was performed in June. Please email me at toddjharper@hotmail.com if you can help. Thanks.

When the AMM on our '88 gave out, the engine would start right up but stall if you tried to give it gas. If you were really careful, you might get the engine speed up enough to move the car (Manual tranny). When I disconnected the AMM and then started the car, it idled and ran better though not up to normal. I replaced the AMM and all was right again.
