IPD exhaust. I've decided, but first, some questions.

OK so I've decided on IPD's 2.5" cat-back exhaust. I wish they'd post a picture of the thing on their site, though.

1. Does this system have a front muffler/silencer, or only the rear one?

2. Will it connect from the back of the cat, or do I need a certain length of filler? Keep in mind that anything after the cat on my car is garbage.

3. Does it come with adapters (preferably stainless) for fitting to the cat, or should I stock a few in case?

Thanks for the help, and the recommendations.

From what I can tell of the system, having never had one hands-on:
(There is a good picture in their catalog- they'll send it for free, you know!)

The system replaces your complete exhaust behind the cat. It connects right to the cat, and has appropriate pipe to mount there. It's a compression fitting, a clamped pipe around a pipe.

Maybe the picture wasn't coming up? I saw it here:

I don't think any of it is stainless.
It's just a long front pipe + axle pipe, straight to a single rear muffler.
Probably the only hard part of the install will be cutting your old exhuast away from the pipe on the end of the cat- they'er usually stuck pretty good.

Nah, the one mentioned is this one; page 40 of the current catalog (#39).

Back to the original post ... it's a single muffler system. It does not appear to need a filler piece, but I'm not sure of whether any adapters are necessary. Could always call or email, of course. They're always helpful.

The next time they have a sale, I will actually get it ... despite the fact that I already own a pipe bender, it won't come out smooth and the largest capacity is 2 3/8" OD.

-- Kane ... really, it only works good on thicker wall pipes. Hence, the sch.#10 exhaust on my '74. :)
