A/C Compressor Power source - Driving me nuts. 700

I seem to have a problem with my A/C compressor it appears that it does not
receive Power, I have replaced the switch behind the control unit which had a
burnt spot, but still no power to the compressor What are the other obvious
problems with this where is the power source as it doesn't appear to even
have power at the plug in which provides the power to the new switch I replaced
It is a standard A/C not A/C/C.

I had the same problem this summer. Have you resoldered the PC board. That fixed mine. Check the FAQ's and posts by foster. Extremely well detailed procedure there.

If the 700 is similar to the 240 system, maybe this will help. The a/c relay closes and power goes to (1) the thermostat switch, (2) the pressure sensor on the accumulator/dryer, and (3) the compressor clutch. If you have a wiring diagram for the 700's you can compare.

Looks like a number of spots to check.

Good Luck,

Bob
