i have a 89 240 and from what i understand the speedo cable gets its reading from the rearend, i found an older style limited slip diff and the car it came off the speedo gets its reading from the tranny.what are my options for putting this rearend on my car and still having a speedo? any other tips and opinions would be great thanks

    You should be able to put it in your car. A shop should be able to machine the LSD so that the speedo sending ring can be installed onto it. I'm not 100% positive if that is the case for that LSD, but it is true for other LSDs that you can put in the 240.

    Hi there,

    The problem exists in the sense of a set of very precisely placed magnets in harmony with a pickup that gives the speed readout. I would not think that the ystems would be interchangeable. Other bricksters may have different opinions, but you would have to find an LSD out of an '86 or newer (NO YOU CAN'T HAVE MINE!!!!)
