Changing rear nivmomats...do I have to do both 700

I have a 1989 volvo 780. I see one of my shocks doesn't pump up much...do I have to change my shocks in pairs..given how expensive these shocks are...I can get them for about $190 a shock..thanks....Jeffry

Yes, change both. The improvement in the ride will be grand.
$ 190.00 is about as good a price as I found when I did mine about 6 monthes ago.
Have you thought about doing the springs at the same time ?

I always do replacements/upgrades in "pairs" "sets" whatever the case may be.
I definately would do BOTH shocks / check FCP groton for low cost replacements.

The folks in the know recommend both as there is a wear factor on the old one which would most likely give an uneven ride. The remaining good one will not be as good as the new one. You don't have to, but it is recommended.
