replacing distributor cap and rotor on 1995 945 900

1995 945 runs great with 68k miles.. distributor cap and rotor never replaced...replaced sparks at 35k miles...should I replace the distributor cap and rotor??? If so... do I need diectric grease on rotor??? never have done it before..thanks...JOHN

replacing distributor cap and rotor on 1995 945 900

They do wear out, usually failing during a blizzard in January. The Volvo spec calls for, I beleive, 60k replacement interval.

Use dielectric grease only on the cap external contacts and boots.
