Oil leaks - motor (to Royo?) S90-V90 1997

Hi Roy,
can you tell me more about 'oil leaks' ?
I have noticed, that I have wet bottom part of my engine, in the area of oil sump (? pos. #32) but I am not sure, where is leakage point...
Maybe your case help me to solve my one..

Thanks,

Oil leaks - motor (to Royo?)

Hey Gregski,

Had one pretty severe leak around the oil breather (up under the intake manifold somewhere I think) that let oil run everywhere. Once that was repaired the pan (sump) started leaking (new gasket). Then some idiot at the shop mangled the oil drain plug. That took a week for them to fix. I sold the car with a leak somewhere toward the front of the engine. Worst car I ever had, Gregski. No more Volvos! I certainly wish you good luck with yours.

Oil leaks - motor (to Royo?)

Hi,
I will not repair my leakege yet because it is to small still. It looks like pan gasket.

I know a lot of people, who are realy satisfied with this cars...
It looks like you realy had bad luck with your model.

btw. if you do not like this brand, why you are still here in this forum ? (it do not have to be malicious question - I just wonder..)

I had a leak on my 960 comming from the oil pan gasket. After cleaning out the flame trap (vacuum fitting part), the leak went away.

Hi Steve,
I've check out (and clean) my flame trap in weekend, and it was dirty (in oil) but not blocked.
I am not to sure, that this is a reason of my leakege :(
But, I will see..

Regards,
Gregski

Common problem. A clogged flame trap has the effect of overpresurizing the crankcase and causing seeps. The old B21 engines also needed attention in this area. Nothing on my S90 was that simple. It's unfortunate because the car was a fantastic highway car, well appointed interior, excellent sound system and all. I just never got a chance to enjoy it since it was always in the shop.
