On my wife's V90 there are no "cross bars" on the roof rack only the bars that run the length of the car. I don't think I've ever seen cross bars on a V90 before. Why wouldn't cross bars be included and are they available as an option? I guess I could go buy the Yakima or Thule rack, but I'd like to have a more factory look to the car.

1998 V90 and 1990 744Ti

I did some web searching on this since I've been looking for a set for my '96 965.

I found an Australian company that makes very nice "factory" looking crossbars made for our cars, but I have not found a US distributor for the product. The price is $230 Australian for a pair.

A Google.com search using "rola roof racks" will bring up a bunch of Australian sellers, but I don't know if they will sell to US customers.

Yakima also makes some that don't look "factory" at all, and cost $165 each.

Bingo! They are an option(s) for the basic rails. I think Thule fits them.

I have also been looking for a set of cross bars to fit my longitudinal factory bars.

I went to Thule's web site, but was unable to locate a set to clamp to the Volvo bars.

If you have seen or know of some and could provide a little more info I would be most appreciative.
