cold start injector 700 1986

Does my 86' 745ti(335,000mi.) have a cold start injector? If so, where is it? If not, what controls the fuel mixture on cold start? The problem is, the car is hard to start and won't idle, and once started I have to hold the gas in for a few minutes but then it idles great. I appreciate any responses!

Note* I cleaned the idle control valve really well with carb cleaner, but I recently saw a post where someone suggested oiling the ICV after cleaning. Could this create a problem if I didn't oil it? Thanks Again!!

cold start injector

I don't know about your car having a cold start injector, but you might want to check your fuel pump relay. I had a problem similar to yours and it turned out to be the fuel pump relay some how. Also, i'm presuming you already cleaned the throttle and checked for vacuum leaks. Those can also have the same effect on your start up.
