Head rest on a 960 900

93 960 wagon. Love the car but the headrest are becoming annoying. Is there any kind of adjustment to move them back a little bit. It seem that your head is always in a forward bend. Any help?

If you haven't already, try stiffening up the lumbar support to realign your spine--this can make the headrest 'fit' more naturally.
The headrest close to the back of the head is a major factor in reducing cervical spine injuries in collisions--reduces the backward portion of the whiplash arc.
Sold my Benz and bought the Volvo just because of the seats (been rearended twice, ruptured discs and all).

As John said, the head rests aren't adjustable, but they are beneficial to be in this position. The closer the headrest is to the back of your head, the less chance of whiplash injury if rear-ended. You will get used to them - it is not worth attempting to modify "Good safety engineering."

Just my 2 cents,

Tim

Alright...so we've determined the benefits of the non-adjustable headrests. What about 780 rests. They move. Are they not as safe? Just a quick thought as my head rests against them everyday.

As far as I know, there is no adustment on those headrests. They've never bothered me, so I must not be sitting up straight!
