You have the engine and tranny on the bench? ALL the bolts out?
Put the tranny in high and turn the rear flange both ways hard enough
to turn the engine a bit. Then take it out of gear and lift hard on the
rear of the tranny. Should get a bit of clearance at the bottom. Stick
a penny or a nickel in it and push down on the rear end of the tranny.
This should open a little clearance at the top. Put a screwdriver next
to the dowel pins and give a little pry (not TOO hard) and it should ease
out. Probably got some rust on the splined input shaft where the clutch
plate hub slides on it. sometimes a li'l brute force is worth its weight
in gold.
