A vaccum leak possibly? 200 1990

Hi all

Hope everyone is having a safe Thanksgiving today.

My girlfriend's 90 245 is still hesitating but only while in the park position. On the highway the car runs well but when i'm at a stoplight, It acts as if it is about to shut off then it would go back to a smooth idle. Also the service light will come on when this happens. I tried to find an air leak but have not found one. Could it be one of the plugs missing? How could i check for vacuum leaks at home?

Thanks in advance.

    A vaccum leak possibly?

I would carefully pull the intake snorkel off and check it for cracks, especially on the underside where it rubs against things. Once the car is at speed vacuum leaks (unless enormous) are masked.

one way i check for vacuum leaks is to spray a bit of starting fluid around intake while engine is running. change in engine speed signals leak. how old is oxygen sensor?
