    Guys,
Clogged cat sounds like a good possibility.speaking 9of air mass meters I saw a warning ealier from ayeroll to avoid the reman airmass meters. I had a bad one, and to check it out I took the one off my sons 244 (same part #) and test dorve it with a known good one. I do know that a bad air mass meter can cause a lot of different symptoms. Mine would start, stall, start, stall, then run like crap for a quarter mile then smooth out and run reasonable until one day it wouldn't start at all. One more thing I learned on the board is that if the airbox thermostat is not working properly, and sticking, it can burn up the AMM.

Check all your vacuum hoses , you have a hose that is about 3/4" diameter that runs underneith your intake manifold that hooks up just on top your valve cover. If this hose is loose or cracked an any form your car will run BUUUt very poorly , no power

With the engine and ignition OFF, disconnect the wire harness connector at the air mass meter. Restart the car and see what happens. It still won't be fully driveable, but it should accelerate above 20mph unless something else is awry.

Used meters are often available on eBay for under $100. iPD sells refurbished units for 85-88 model year cars for $180 + $70 core charge.
