help me think 200

Tonight my 86, 240 with 235000, manual with O/D started to die after startup. I could only go about 30 mph tops. Replaced the fuel pump relay, no change. I unplugged the AMM and restarted, the car ran terribly. I plugged it back in and drove the 20 miles to home. Now I'm thinking (Bentley in the trunk) plugged cat,
fuel pump, wires, fuses,??? Am I on the right track? Will check tomorrow PM. Any thoughts appreciated.

Ricko, is your gas tank less than 1/2 full? Same symptoms with my wife's '83 2wks ago. Two things were wrong. The in-tank pump was bad (seized and couldn't free it up) and the 1" fuel line from it was laying in the bottom of the tank ! Fixed it quick, 'cause I had one on hand. Tom

It was less than 1/2 full, I filled it, no change. I'm in the midst of gutting another 86 for parts, so I have what I need if I can figure what that need might be. Thanks for the response.

check how your spark plugs look, and how your plug cables are.
Maybe some vacuum hoses are not good?
