Hi all

I own a 86 760 and the tail light are damaged and I am looking at buying new or second hand tail lights. I like the look of the 90to92 740 tail light the type in this link (www.volvoworld.com/photo_pieces/3518171.jpg) and I would like to convert to these style of tail lights. Has any body got any information on this conversion

Hello George:

You should save the flexible circuit board in the old taillights-- they are different on a 760. Other than that, if they are anything like my '89 760, you will have no problems.

As long as the tail light assy will fit, and I think it will, it can be done. You will most likely have to rewire to get all to work. You can do it with wiring diagrams or with a light to determine which wire will light which light.
