I have a 120mph mechanical speedo, it works intermittantly. I have foud that the problem is the large grey gear on the main odomoter shaft is spinning on the shaft. Is there a way to adhere this gear to the shaft? Any other suggestions.

Matt, I was going to repair mine by staking it with a small punch, but I found the shaft was worn thin at the wheel. I simply reversed the shaft; the gear fit well. That was 35K ago now 314K.

Loctite 411, the one with the rubber base, so it is flexable and less chance to break.
