I need to hotwire my volvo I have no keys. It is my paddock basher and I dont want to spend any money. Its a 240gl I just want to be able to get it going. I dont care how it ends up looking only that it drives. HELP ME PLEASE IN NOT A CRININAL IM 14 AND ITS MY OwN CAR. I DONT HAVE REGO DETAILS OR ANYTHING SO I CANT GETT A KEY CUT. anyne who knows how to hotwire a 240gl 1980 help ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take the ignition switch off the lock and turn it without the key. You don't have to "hotwire" it. This will get it started but you won't be able to drive it because the steering wheel will still lock. You would have to take the ignition lock off the steering column, and to do this you have to drill the mounting bolts out. It would be much easier to just go to the dealer with the serial number and have a key cut

As the ignition and doors are keyed the same remove one of your door locks, take it to a lock-shop, and they can cut you a key for it.

A padock Is a feild for cows ect Its not legal to drive on public roads but legal to drive on private. My brother lost them

I believe a "paddock basher" is just another word for a "beater" or offroad unlicensed vehicle. Sounds like this kid just wants to do some rip-roaring around the 'ol outback.

Hey look under your stearing column. look for a red and green wire. cut em both and rub together. Should work. Those may not be the two colors but it's the wires running into the ignition. Your battery may be dead though.
