Easy question. What do I look for in local auto parts store to replace just the rubber for my 1990 740T?

The last time I changed refills on my 760, I took a look at the "cross-section" of the Anco blades versus the Bosch blades. Interestingly, the Anco blades were significantly beefier. Beefier doesn't necessarily translate into better, but I was impressed none the less.

They don't offer that option, as my father has annoyingly discovered every time he tries to go the discount way... much to his annoyance.

Just suck it up and purchase the Bosch wipers that go with your car. You want the good ones (Bosch has a couple of levels) if you want them to last well.

personally i just get the entire blade from Anco. unclip the old one, put in the new one. costs a bit more $$ of course.

I believe they are 20" blades on that car. I prefer Bosch brand myself. They usually have a book near the blades so you can look up #.
