insanely fast idle...fixed! 200

My idle...3000 rpm, now 750.

Throttle postition sensor...took one off of my 85, adjusted it per instructions found on IPD site and all is well.

Now to get the check engine light off.

Diagnostic code showed 2-3-2, lean or rich mixture.

Thanks for all help!

There is a song and dance you can do to delete the codes OR disconnect the battery for about 2 minutes. That will reset it.

i had that problem on a 91 240..changed O2 sensor, no more problem. btw, u can buy the universal 3 wire o2 sensor from auto zone, it works fine on a 240.

it could also be the temp senor (telling the computer to run rich because the engine is still cold when in fact it is already warm), or it could be faulty injectors.

What's the price of the AutoZone O2 sensor. $145 is about the best I was able to do.

I bought an o2 sensor from oxygensensors.com. $60 for a walker, 3 wire.

I did the battery disconnect and got the light off.
