Drivers seat heater 200 1989

My seat heater does not work on the driver side. How can I fix it??

There is PLENTY of info in the archives on the seat heaters, switched and unswitched. Since yours is switched, start there and check for power and ground. Grounds are under e-brake console, power to switch, and another power runs under seat and carpet into wire bundle at fuse panel.

If that's all in order (and more than likely, it is), the wiring in your heating pad assembly needs to be checked. Search the archive using "seat heater" and you'll find what you need.

First, look under the seat and disconnect the connector (generally found tucked under the rug by the heat duct.
Put a Volt Meter on both pins on the connector attached to the car,Turn on the seat switch and start the car, see if you are getting 12V to that connector.
If not, your problem is not the heaters but the power to the heaters.
