Bulb Connector Repost 900

I recently purchased a set of Philips Premium bulbs for my 97 V90 from Autolamps Online. The bulbs are 9005 and 9006 for the low and high beams, respectively. When I received them they woud not fit into the vehicle connector. The vehicle side has a single groove that accepts the bulbl base (the two electrical blade connections are fine). The bulb base from Philips has two ridges, rather than the one that would fit. Have the "standards" for these bulbs changed or was I sent a European version, etc.... I haven't been able to sort it out with the vendor yet.

Addendum: OEM (dark) nomenclature is 9005 HB3; Philips (white) is 9005 HB4

Never mind...the single is ridge belongs to the low beam and the double belongs to t he high beam, just the opposite that is stated in my owners manual. When I finally checked the new 9006 bulb, it had a single ridge. Wih abit more doublechecking I determined that I had the stupid bulbs reversed...DAH The owner's manual is wrong.
