89 760 Radio Replacement 700 1989

After trying numerous times to get the code for my radio, I've just decided to put in an aftermarket head unit. The dilema I have is what to do with the separate tape deck below the head unit. I don't really want to have a big hole in my console. My new head unit has RCA inputs on the back. Is there any way I could connect it to them? Thanks in advance.

You should be able to get the code from the dealer. Have you gone that route?

the cassette won't work with any aftermarket receiver I've heard of. You can get a pocket from installer.com or other places to cover up the extra hole.

The radio in my car is remanufactured, and nobody bothered to update the database when they replaced it. The dealership also tried to look it up using its serial number, but they didn't have any luck. Thanks for your help. I guess the old head unit is going in the trash, and the tape deck is going on ebay.
