i cant seem to find exactly what is SUPPOSED to be in my M40...shop manual i have is no help...dealer doesnt even know what my car is it seems...73 144 4- speed...thanks

RedLine MTL works wonders in my M40.Shifts like a hot knife thru butter.

EVERY Redline product I've used has been fantastic.I especially like the MTL (GREATLY improves shifting) and their gear oils.I worked at a shop where we ran Redline SI 1 at every 10K service.You would amazed how many fewer poorly running cars we had! Stedier idle etc.. Maybe we were just REALLY good techs! Yeah thats it!

80 - 90 gear oil is OK.
Same tranny with overdrive uses 30w motor oil.
